Payment Terms
All orders are subject to a minimum 20% deposit. Credit cards may be used for the deposit but will not be accepted for the final balance. All card payments are subject to security checks before any goods are dispatched. If the customer’s issuing bank does not for any reason authorise a payment for that account the order may be delayed or cancelled.
The balance of payment is due prior to or on delivery of the goods and can be made by cash or cheque.
VAT is charged at the current rate and is subject to government regulations.
All prices are in UK Sterling.
No goods will be left in the customer’s home unless payment is made in full.
Title
Title to the goods will remain with DPHF until full payment of the goods is received.
DPHF are committed to protecting customers’ privacy and comply with the Data Protection laws applicable to business in the UK. DPHF its customers’ information to third parties. Information gained is used to process orders and improves service.
Cancellation
Goods, which have been ordered specifically by a customer, cannot be cancelled or exchanged except at the discretion of the management, in which case a minimum 20% cancellation charge will apply.
Exact matches of veneers, colours etc., cannot be guaranteed for orders which are placed separately.
Delivery Dates
Anticipated delivery dates are quoted in good faith, based on information received from our suppliers and all products are subject to availability.
The Company can not be held responsible if these dates are not upheld.
Delayed deliveries are beyond our control and we cannot offer any financial compensation. However, DPHF will use its best endeavours to keep the customer informed of the status of the order. At our discretion we will loan suitable furniture if requested until an order arrives.
Delivery
Any shortages or damages must be reported within three days of delivery.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that all goods can be delivered onto their home without obstruction. All deliveries with difficult access which may involve the removal of windows or lifting gear must be paid for by the customer and at the customer’s own risk. The customer or a person authorised by the customer must be present to receive delivery.
Storage
We will store goods at no extra charge for up to four weeks from the quoted delivery date and for a further four weeks if the goods are paid in full.
General
DPHF will not be responsible for the general wear and tear of the property caused by the customer in the course of normal accepted use of the goods.
Assembly
All bedsteads, bunk beds and most wardrobes are designed as unit furniture and are therefore self-assembly. A charge may be made if fitting is required.
Upholstery
All loose cushions should be reversed and plumped up regularly. Suites should be lightly brushed or vacuumed regularly.
Leather
Natural irregularities in the animal hides are characteristics of leather. Leather furniture should be protected from direct sunlight.
Cabinets
Spray and wax polishes should not be used on some furniture, please ask our sales staff for advice. Variations and irregularities in the grain are natural characteristics of wood.
Bedding
It is important the mattresses are turned and reversed on a regular basis, especially in the first six months, with the exception of ‘non turn’ mattresses such as latex.
Contract Law
This contract is and shall be deemed to be made in England and shall be governed by English Law.

Statutory Rights
These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
